Cruisecontrolenablesthedrivertomaintaina
constantroadspeedwithoutusingthe
acceleratorpedal.Thisisparticularlyuseful
formotorwaycruisingorforanyjourney
whereaconstantspeedcanbemaintainedfor
alengthyperiod.

DONOTusecruisecontrolon
windingorslipperyroadsurfaces,or
intrafficconditionswherea
constantspeedcannoteasilybe
maintained.

ALWAYSswitchoffthemaster
switchwhenyounolongerintendto
usecruisecontrol.
Thecruisecontrolsystemhasthreeswitches:
amasterswitchonthefasciapanelandtwo
controlswitchesmarked’SET+’and’RES’
(arrowedinillustration)mountedinthe
steeringwheel.
DONOTrestyourfootunderthe
acceleratorpedalwhilecruise
controlisengaged-yourfootcould
betrapped.

Pressthemasterswitch(theindicator
lightintheswitchilluminates).
NOTE:Onautomaticgearboxmodels,
selectingCruisecontrolwhilethegearbox
isin’Sport’modewillresultinmore
frequentandharsheraccelerationand
gearchanging.Thisisnotrecommended.
Accelerateuntilthedesiredspeedis
reached-thismustbeabovethesystem’s
minimumoperationalspeedof28mph
(45
km/h)forpetrolenginemodels,or
31
mph(50km/h)fordieselengine
vehicles.

Pressthe’SET+’switchtosetthevehicle
speedinthecruisecontrolsystem’s
memory.Cruisecontrolwillnowmaintain
thatroadspeedwithouttheneedfor
operationoftheaccelerator.
Withcruisecontroloperating,speedcanbe
increasedtemporarily,e.g.forovertaking,by
normaluseoftheaccelerator.Whenthe
acceleratorisreleased,roadspeedwillreturn
totheselectedcruisingspeed.
