investigatedandcorrectedimmediately.

continueduseofthestartermayresultin

Starting

Checkthatthehandbrakeisappliedand
thatthegearleverisinneutral(’P’or’N’
forautomatictransmission).
Parking
Afterbringingthevehicletoastop,ALWAYS
applythehandbrakeandselectneutralon
manualgearboxes(’P’onautomatic
gearboxes)beforereleasingthefootbrakeand
switchingofftheengine.

equipment.

Insertthekeyandturnthestarterswitch
toposition’II’.Waituntiltheglowplug
warninglightextinguishes.
Switchingoff
Returnthestarterswitchtoposition’I’and
thentoposition’0’toremovethekey.
Turnandholdthekeyinposition’III’to
operatethestartermotor;DONOTpress
theacceleratorpedalduringstarting,and
RELEASETHEKEYassoonastheengine
isrunning.IftheenginestallsyouMUST
returnthestarterswitchtoposition’I’
beforeattemptingtorestart;theengine
willnotstartbyturningthestarterswitch
fromposition’II’.
NOTE:Ensurethat’P’isselectedbefore
removingthekey.
