transmissionwilldownshifttotheappropriategear:fourth,third,second
orfirstgear.
FOUR-WHEEL DRIVE (4WD) OPERATION (IF EQUIPPED)
Forimportantinformationregardingsafeoperationofthistype

WhenFour-wheeldrive(4WD)isengaged,powerissuppliedtoallfour
wheelsthroughatransfercase.4WDpowercanbeselectedwhen
additionaldrivingpowerisdesired.
IfequippedwiththeElectronicShift4WDSystem,andthe4x4
Lowbuttonispressedwhilethevehicleismoving,thesystemwill
notengageandnodamagewilloccurtothe4WDsystem.
4x4Highand4x4Lowoperationisnotrecommendedondry
pavement.Doingsocouldresultindifficultdisengagementofthe
transfercase,increasedtirewearanddecreasedfueleconomy.
