Whenthebatteryisdisconnectedoranewbatteryisinstalled,the
transmissionmustrelearnitsadaptivestrategy.Asaresultofthis,the
transmissionmayshiftfirmly.Thisoperationisconsiderednormaland
willnoteffectfunctionordurabilityofthetransmission.Overtime,the
adaptivelearningprocesswillfullyupdatetransmissionoperationtoits
optimumshiftfeel.

Useonlya12–voltsupplytostartyourvehicle.
2.
Donotdisconnectthebatteryofthedisabledvehicleasthiscould
damagethevehicle’selectricalsystem.
3.
Parktheboostervehicleclosetothehoodofthedisabledvehicle
makingsurethetwovehiclesdonottouch.Settheparkingbrakeonboth
vehiclesandstayclearoftheenginecoolingfanandothermovingparts.
4.
Checkallbatteryterminalsandremoveanyexcessivecorrosionbefore
youattachthebatterycables.Ensurethatventcapsaretightandlevel.
5.
Turntheheaterfanoninbothvehiclestoprotectanyelectrical
surges.Turnallotheraccessoriesoff.
Connecting the jumper cables

Connectthepositive(+)boostercabletothepositive(+)terminalof
thedischargedbattery.
Note:Intheillustrations,lightningboltsareusedtodesignatethe
assisting(boosting)battery.

Connecttheotherendofthepositive(+)cabletothepositive(+)
terminaloftheassistingbattery.
