Stowing the spare tire
1.
Laythetireonthegroundwiththevalvestemfacingup.
2.
Slidethewheelunderthevehicle
andinstalltheretainerthroughthe
wheelcenter.
3.
Turnthejackhandleclockwise
untilthetireisraisedtoitsoriginal
positionunderneaththevehicle.The
jackhandleratchetswhenthetireis
raisedtothestowedposition.Itwill
notallowyoutoovertighten.
Tire change procedure
Topreventthevehiclefrommovingwhenyouchangeatire,be
suretheparkingbrakeisset,thenblock(inbothdirections)the
wheelthatisdiagonallyopposite(othersideandendofthevehicle)to
thetirebeingchanged.
Ifthevehicleslipsoffthejack,youorsomeoneelsecouldbe
seriouslyinjured.
Refertotheinstructionsheetfordetailedtirechangeinstructions.

Parkonalevelsurface,activate
hazardflashersandsettheparking
brake.
2.
PlacegearshiftleverinP(Park)
andturnengineOFF.
Whenoneoftherear
wheelsisofftheground,
thetransmissionalonewillnot
preventthevehiclefrommoving
orslippingoffthejack,evenifthe
transmissionisinP(Park).
