Undersnowyordirtyweatherconditions,yourvehicle’sclimate
controlsystemshouldbeleftintheOFFpositionwhenthevehicleis
parked.Thisallowstheclimatecontrolsystemtobefreefrom
contaminationofoutsidepollutants.
Ifyourvehiclehasbeenparkedwiththewindowsclosedduringwarm
weatherconditions,theairconditionerwillperformmoreefficientlyin
coolingthevehicleifdrivenfortwoorthreeminuteswiththe
windowsopen.Thiswillforcemostofthehot,staleairoutofthe
vehicle.Oncethevehiclehasbeen“airedout”,operatetheclimate
controlsystemasdesired.

Donotplaceobjectsunderthefrontseatthatwillinterferewiththe
airflowtothebackseats(ifequipped).
Removeanysnow,iceorleaves
fromtheairintakeareaatthe
baseofthewindshield.

Donotplaceobjectsoverthedefrosteroutlets.Theseobjectscan
blockairflowandreduceyourabilitytoseethroughyourwindshield.
Avoidplacingsmallobjectsontopoftheinstrumentpanel.These
objectsmayfalldownintothedefrosteroutletsandblockairflow,in
additiontodamagingtheclimatecontrolsystem.

Setthetemperaturecontroltofullheat
SetthefanspeedtoHI
Directtheouterpanelventstowardstosidewindows
Toincreaseairflowtotheouterpanelvents,closethecentralpanelvents.
Donotplaceobjectsontopoftheinstrumentpanel,asthese
objectsmaybecomeprojectilesinacollisionorsuddenstop.
