ThetemperaturegradesareA(thehighest),B,andC,representingthe
tire’sresistancetothegenerationofheatanditsabilitytodissipateheat
whentestedundercontrolledconditionsonaspecifiedindoorlaboratory
testwheel.Sustainedhightemperaturecancausethematerialofthetire
todegenerateandreducetirelife,andexcessivetemperaturecanleadto
suddentirefailure.ThegradeCcorrespondstoalevelofperformance
whichallpassengercartiresmustmeetundertheFederalMotorVehicle
SafetyStandardNo.109.GradesBandArepresenthigherlevelsof
performanceonthelaboratorytestwheelthantheminimumrequiredby
law.
Thetemperaturegradeforthistireisestablishedforatirethat
isproperlyinflatedandnotoverloaded.Excessivespeed,
underinflation,orexcessiveloading,eitherseparatelyorin
combination,cancauseheatbuildupandpossibletirefailure.

Useanaccuratetirepressuregauge.
Checkthetirepressurewhentiresarecold,afterthevehiclehasbeen
parkedforatleastonehourorhasbeendrivenlessthan5km

CertificationLabelortheTireLabel.
Improperlyinflatedtirescanaffectvehiclehandlingandcanfail
suddenly,possiblyresultinginlossofvehiclecontrol.
Tire rotation
Becauseyourvehicle’stiresperformdifferentjobs,theyoftenwear
differently.Tomakesureyourtireswearevenlyandlastlonger,rotate
themasindicatedinthescheduledmaintenanceguide.Ifyounoticethat
thetireswearunevenly,havethemchecked.
