Tires, Wheels and Loading
Everydaybeforeyoudrive,checkyourtires.Ifonelookslowerthanthe
others,useatiregaugetocheckpressureofalltiresandadjustif
required.
Atleastonceamonthandbeforelongtrips,inspecteachtireandcheck
thetirepressurewithatiregauge(includingspare,ifequipped).Inflate
alltirestotheinflationpressurerecommendedbyMazda.
Useatiregaugetocheckthetireinflationpressure,includingthespare
(ifequipped),atleastmonthlyandbeforelongtrips.Youarestrongly
urgedtobuyareliabletirepressuregauge,asautomaticservicestation
gaugesmaybeinaccurate.Mazdarecommendstheuseofadigitalordial
typetirepressuregaugeratherthanasticktypetirepressuregauge.
Usetherecommendedcoldinflationpressureforoptimumtire
performanceandwear.Under-inflationorover-inflationmaycause
uneventreadwearpatterns.
NOTE:Ifyouaredrivingthevehicleatitsmaximumweightload,make
surethetireinflationpressureiscorrectfortheweightloadonthetires.
WARNING: Under-inflationisthemostcommoncauseoftire
failuresandmayresultinseveretirecracking,treadseparation
or

,withunexpectedlossofvehiclecontrolandincreasedriskofinjury.Under-inflationincreasessidewall
flexingandrollingresistance,resultinginheatbuildupand
internaldamagetothetire.Italsomayresultinunnecessary

AlwaysinflateyourtirestotheMazdarecommendedinflationpressure
evenifitislessthanthemaximuminflationpressureinformationfound
onthetire.TheMazdarecommendedtireinflationpressureisfoundon
theSafetyComplianceCertificationLabelorTireLabelwhichislocated
ontheB-Pillarortheedgeofthedriver’sdoor.Failuretofollowthetire
pressurerecommendationscancauseuneventreadwearpatternsand
adverselyaffectthewayyourvehiclehandles.
MaximumPermissibleInflationPressureisthetiremanufactures’
maximumpermissiblepressureand/orthepressureatwhichthe
maximumloadcanbecarriedbythetire.Thispressureisnormally
higherthanthemanufacturer’srecommendedcoldinflationpressure
whichcanbefoundoneithertheSafetyComplianceCertificationLabel
orTireLabelwhichislocatedontheB-Pillarortheedgeofthedriver’s
