BaseCurbWeight–istheweightofthevehicleincludingafulltankof
fuelandallstandardequipment.Itdoesnotincludepassengers,cargo,or
optionalequipment.
VehicleCurbWeight–istheweightofyournewvehiclewhenyou
pickeditupfromyourauthorizeddealerplusanyaftermarketequipment.
Payload–isthecombinedweightofcargoandpassengersthatthe
vehicleiscarrying.Themaximumpayloadforyourvehiclecanbefound
ontheTireLabelontheB-Pillarortheedgeofthedriver’sdoor
(vehiclesexportedoutsidetheUSandCanadamaynothaveaTire
Label).Lookfor“THECOMBINEDWEIGHTOFOCCUPANTSAND
CARGOSHOULDNEVEREXCEEDXXXkgORXXXlb.”for
maximumpayload.ThepayloadlistedontheTireLabelisthemaximum
payloadforthevehicleasbuiltbytheassemblyplant.Ifanyaftermarket
orauthorized-dealerinstalledequipmenthasbeeninstalledonthe
vehicle,theweightoftheequipmentmustbesubtractedfromthe
payloadlistedontheTireLabelinordertodeterminethenewpayload.
WARNING: Theappropriateloadingcapacityofyourvehicle
canbelimitedeitherbyvolumecapacity(howmuchspaceis
available)orbypayloadcapacity(howmuchweightthevehicle
shouldcarry).Onceyouhavereachedthemaximumpayloadof
yourvehicle,donotaddmorecargo,evenifthereisspace
available.Overloadingorimproperlyloadingyourvehiclecan
