leverandallowskeyremoval.
Forvehiclesequippedwitha
manualtransmission,youmust
depresstheignitionrelease
levertoreleasethekey.

OFF,shutsofftheengineandallaccessorieswithoutlockingthe
steeringwheel.Thispositionalsoallowstheautomatictransmission
shiftlevertobemovedfromtheP(Park)positionwithoutthebrake
pedalbeingdepressed.
WARNING: WhenthekeyisintheignitionandintheOFF
position,theautomatictransmissionshiftlevercanbemoved
fromtheP(Park)positionwithoutthebrakepedaldepressed.
Toavoidunwantedvehiclemovement,alwayssettheparking
brake.
Note:Onsomevehicles,whenthekeyisintheOFFposition,the
brake-shiftinterlockfeaturewillpreventtheautomatictransmissionshift
leverfrombeingmovedoutoftheP(Park)positionwithoutthebrake
pedalbeingdepressed.

ON,allelectricalcircuitsoperational.Warninglightsilluminated.Key
positionwhendriving.
5.
START,crankstheengine.Releasethekeyassoonastheengine
starts.
