Insertthesquareendofthe
jackhandleintotherearaccess
holelocatedjustabovetherear
bumperandbelowthetailgate.
Forwardmotionwillstopand
resistancetoturningwillbefelt
whenproperlyengaged.
4.
Turnthehandle
counterclockwiseuntiltireis
loweredtothegroundandthe
cableisslightlyslack.
5.
Removetheretainerfromthe
sparetire.
Tire change procedure
WARNING: Whenoneofthefrontwheelsisofftheground,the
transmissionalonewillnotpreventthevehiclefrommovingor
slippingoffthejack,evenifthevehicleisinP(Park)
(automatictransmission)orR(Reverse)(manual
transmission).
WARNING: Tohelppreventthevehiclefrommovingwhenyou
changeatire,besuretheparkingbrakeisset,thenblock(in
bothdirections)thewheelthatisdiagonallyopposite(other
sideandendofthevehicle)tothetirebeingchanged.
WARNING: Ifthevehicleslipsoffthejack,youorsomeone
elsecouldbeseriouslyinjured.
WARNING: Donotattempttochangeatireonthesideofthe
vehicleclosetomovingtraffic.Pullfarenoughofftheroadto
avoidthedangerofbeinghitwhenoperatingthejackor
changingthewheel.
