Insertthetongueintothecorrect
buckle(thebuckleclosesttothe
directionthetongueiscoming
from).Tolengthenthebelt,turnthe
tongueatarightangletothebelt
andpullacrossyourlapuntilit
reachesthebuckle.
Totightenthebelt,pulltheloose
endofthebeltthroughthetongue
untilitfitssnuglyacrossthehips.
Shortenandfastenthebelt
whennotinusetokeepthebelt
awayfromdooropeningsand
availableafterunfoldingthe
seats.
Fortherearjumpseat,shortenand
foldthebeltintotheseatwhennot
inuse.

designedtohelpreducethebeltforceactingontheoccupant’schest.

andshoulderbelts.Thefrontpassengeroutboardseatbelthastwotypes
oflockingmodesdescribedbelow:

Thisisthenormalretractormode,whichallowsfreeshoulderbeltlength
adjustmenttoyourmovementsandlockinginresponsetovehicle
