Changing the engine oil and filter
Changeyourengineoilandfilteraccordingtothefollowingmileageand
timerequirements,whicheveroccursfirst:

NormalSchedule–8,000km(5,000miles)orsixmonths.
SevereDutySchedule-5,000km(3,000miles)orthreemonths.
Severedutyoperationwouldincludeextensiveidling,trailertowing,
drivinginseveredustandpolice,taxiordeliveryservice.
Fordproductionandaftermarket(Motorcraft)oilfiltersaredesignedfor
addedengineprotectionandlonglife.Ifareplacementoilfilterisused
thatdoesnotmeetFordmaterialanddesignspecifications,startup
enginenoisesorknockmaybeexperienced.
ItisrecommendedyouusetheappropriateMotorcraftoilfilter(or
anotherbrandmeetingFordspecifications)foryourengineapplication.
