IfotherthanFord,MotorcraftorFordauthorizedpartsareusedfor
maintenancereplacementsorforserviceofcomponentsaffecting
emissioncontrolsuchnon-Fordpartsshouldbeequivalenttogenuine
FordMotorCompanypartsinperformanceanddurability.
Donotpark,idle,ordriveyourvehicleindrygrassorotherdry
groundcover.Theemissionsystemheatsuptheengine
compartmentandexhaustsystem,whichcanstartafire.
Watchforfluidleaks,strangeodors,smoke,lossofoilpressure,the
chargingsystemwarninglight,the‘‘CheckEngine’’lightorthe
temperaturewarninglight.Theseeventscouldindicatethattheemission
controlsystemisnotworkingproperly.
Ifyousmellexhaustfumesofanykindinsideyourvehicle,have
thedealerinspectandfixyourvehicleimmediately.Donotdrive
ifyousmellexhaustfumes.Thesefumesareharmfulandcouldkill
you.
Donotmakeanyunauthorizedchangestoyourvehicleorengine.By
law,vehicleownersandanyonewhomanufactures,repairs,services,
sells,leases,tradesvehicles,orsupervisesafleetofvehiclesarenot
permittedtointentionallyremoveanemissioncontroldeviceorprevent
