Sincetheairconditionerremovesconsiderablemoisturefromtheair
duringoperation,itisnormalifclearwaterdripsonthegroundunder
theairconditionerdrainwhilethesystemisworkingandevenafteryou
havestoppedthevehicle.
Undernormalconditions,yourvehicle’sclimatecontrolsystemshouldbe
leftinanypositionotherthanMAXA/CorOFFwhenthevehicleis
parked.Thisallowsthevehicleto‘‘breathe’’throughtheoutsideairinlet
duct.

MAXA/C-Usesrecirculatedairtocoolthevehicle.MAXA/Cisnoisier
thanA/Cbutmoreeconomicalandwillcooltheinsideofthevehicle
faster.Airflowwillbefromtheinstrumentpanelregisters.Thismode
canalsobeusedtopreventundesirableodorsfromenteringthe
vehicle.

A/C-Usesoutsideairtocoolthevehicle.ItisquieterthanMAXA/C
butnotaseconomical.Airflowwillbefromtheinstrumentpanel
registers.
(Vent)-Distributesoutsideairthroughtheinstrumentpanel
registers.However,theairwillnotbecooledbelowtheoutside
temperaturebecausetheairconditioningdoesnotoperateinthis
mode.

OFF-Outsideairisshutoutandthefanwillnotoperate.Forshort
periodsoftimeonly,usethismodetopreventundesirableodorsfrom
enteringthevehicle.
• panelregistersandthefloorducts.Heatingandairconditioning
capabilitiesareprovidedinthismode.Foraddedcustomercomfort,
whenthetemperaturecontrolknobisanywhereinbetweenthefull
hotandfullcoldpositions,theairdistributedthroughthefloorducts
willbeslightlywarmerthantheairsenttotheinstrumentpanel
registers.
(Panelandfloor)-Distributesoutsideairthroughtheinstrument

(Floor)-Allowsformaximumheatingbydistributingoutsideair
throughthefloorducts.However,theairwillnotbecooledbelowthe
outsidetemperaturebecausetheairconditioningdoesnotoperatein
thismode.

(Flooranddefrost)-Distributesoutsideairthroughthe
windshielddefrosterductsandthefloorducts.Heatingandair
conditioningcapabilitiesareprovidedinthismode.Foradded
customercomfort,whenthetemperaturecontrolknobisanywherein
betweenthefullhotandfullcoldpositions,theairdistributedthrough
