AIMING THE HEADLAMPS
Yourvehicleisequippedwitha
VehicleHeadlampAimDevice
(VHAD)oneachheadlamp.Each
headlampmaybeproperlyaimedin
thevertical(up/down)andthe
horizontal(left/right)directions
usingyourVHADsystem.The
headlampsonyourvehicleare
properlyaimedattheassembly
plant,andverticalandhorizontal
indicatorsoftheVHADsystemare
calibrated.

Abubble(verticalindicator)thatis
notcenteredbetweenthetwored
linesdoesnotnecessarilyindicate
out-of-aimheadlamps.Ifyour
vehicleisnotpositionedonalevelsurface,theslopewillbeincludedin
theverticalindication.Therefore,verticalandhorizontalheadlamp
adjustmentshouldbeperformedonlywhenthebeamdirectionappears
tobeincorrect.
Youwillneedone4mmwrenchorsocketwithratchettomakethe
adjustments.
Thefollowingprocedureassumesthatthefactorysethorizontalindicator
referencehasnotchangedandthevehicle’sfrontstructureisinits
factoryalignmentcondition.Ifthevehiclehasbeeninanaccident
requiringthefrontendofthevehicletoberepaired,thehorizontal
indicatorshouldberecalibratedbytheservicingfacilityaccordingto
instructionsinthevehicle’sWorkshopManual.
