Pullonthesafetybelttonguesto
ensurethattheyarebothsecurely
latched.Iftheyarenotproperly
latched,repeatstepssevenand
eight.
Ifnecessary,theshoulderbeltmaybeputinautomaticlockingmode
(ALR)tolimitthechild’smovementintheseat.TheALRmodeshould
beusedifthechildissleepingorattemptingtogetoutoftheseat.
IfnotplacedinALRmode,thechildseatshoulderbeltsareinvehicle
sensitive(emergencylocking)mode,whichallowsomemovementofthe
shoulderbelts(likeadultshoulderbelts).
Inemergencylockingmode,theshoulderbeltsofthechildseatwilllock
inresponsetohardbraking,hardcorneringorifyourvehicleisinvolved
inacollisionwithanimpactof8km/h(5m.p.h.)ormore.
Activating the automatic locking mode  (ALR) on the built-in child
safety seat

Fullyextendtherightshoulderbelt.
Allowthebeltstotightensnuglyagainstthechild’sshoulders.
Deactivating the automatic locking mode  (ALR) on the built-in
child safety seat

Disconnectthechestclipandremovetheleftandrightsafetybelt
tonguesfromthecrotchbuckle.
2.
Allowtheshoulderbeltstofullyretract.
