TheairconditioningcompressorwilloperateinallmodesexceptFLOOR
andVENT.ItwillalsooperateonlywhenrequiredwhenAUTOMATIC
hasbeenselected.However,theairconditioningwillonlyfunctionifthe
outsidetemperatureisabout10°C(50°F)orabove.
Sincetheairconditionerremovesconsiderablemoisturefromtheair
duringoperation,itisnormalifclearwaterdripsonthegroundunder
theairconditionerdrainwhilethesystemisworkingandevenafteryou
havestoppedthevehicle.
Undernormalconditions,yourvehicle’sclimatecontrolsystemshouldbe
leftinanypositionotherthanMAXA/CorOFFwhenthevehicleis
parked.Thisallowsthevehicleto‘‘breathe’’throughtheoutsideairinlet
duct.

MAXA/C-Usesrecirculatedairtocoolthevehicle.Thetemperature
willdisplay16°C(60°F).Toexit,pressAUTOMATICoranyother
overridecontrols.MAXA/CisnoisierthannormalA/Cbutmore
economicalandwillcooltheinsideofthevehiclefaster.Airflowis
fromtheinstrumentpanelregisters.Thismodecanalsobeusedto
preventundesirableodorsfromenteringthevehicle.

VENT-Distributesoutsideairthroughtheinstrumentpanelregisters.
However,theaircannotbecooledbelowtheoutsidetemperature
becausetheairconditioningdoesnotoperateinthismode.
PNL•FLR-Distributesoutsideairthroughtheinstrumentpanel
registersandthefloorducts.Heatingandairconditioningcapabilities
areprovidedinthismode.Theairwillbeheatedorcooledbasedon
thetemperatureselection.Foraddedcustomercomfort,theair
distributedthroughthefloorductswillbeslightlywarmerthantheair
senttotheinstrumentpanelregisters.
