illustration).Pressthegearshift
leverreleaseontheshifterknoband
movethegearshiftleverbackto
N(Neutral)(twoplacesrearward
fromP[Park]).

Startthevehicleandreleasethe
parkingbrake.
Donotdriveyourvehicleuntilyouverifythatthebrakelamps
areworking.
Alwayssettheparkingbrakefullyandmakesurethegearshiftis
latchedinP(Park).TurntheignitiontotheLOCKpositionand
removethekeywheneveryouleaveyourvehicle.
Iftheparkingbrakeisfullyreleased,butthebrakewarninglamp
remainsilluminated,thebrakesmaynotbeworkingproperly.
