sufficientvehicledecelerationscandeploytheairbag.Suchdrivingalso
increasestheriskofaccidents.
Alloccupantsofthevehicle,includingthedriver,shouldalways
properlyweartheirsafetybelts,evenwhenanairbag
supplementalrestraintsystem(SRS)isprovided.
Neverremoveordefeatthe“trippingmechanisms”designedintothe
snowremovalequipmentbyitsmanufacturer.Doingsomaycause
damagetothevehicleandthesnowremovalequipmentaswellas
possibleairbagdeployment.
Donotattempttoservice,repair,ormodifytheairbag
supplementalrestraintsystem(SRS)oritsfuses.SeeyourFord
orLincolnMercurydealer.

speedsbelow5mph(8km/h).
Shifttransfercaseto4H(4WDHigh)whenplowinglargerareasor
lightsnowathigherspeeds.Donotexceed15mph(24km/h).
DonotshiftthetransmissionfromaforwardgeartoR(Reverse)until
theengineisatidleandthewheelsarestopped.
Ifthevehicleisstuck,shiftthetransmissioninasteadymotion
betweenforwardandreversegears.Donotrockthevehicleformore
thanafewminutes.Thetransmissionandtiresmaybedamagedor
theenginecanoverheat.
Donotrockthevehicleiftheengineisnotatoperating
temperature.Donotrockthevehicleformorethanaminute.The
transmissionandtiresmaybedamagedortheenginemay
overheat.
Donotspinthewheelsatover35mph(55km/h).Thetiresmay
failandinjureapassengerorbystander.
