FUEL PUMP SHUT-OFF SWITCH
Thisdevicestopstheelectricfuelpumpfromsendingfueltotheengine
whenyourvehiclehashadasubstantialjolt.
Afteranaccident,iftheenginecranksbutdoesnotstart,thisswitch
mayhavebeenactivated.
Thisswitchislocatedinthefront
passenger’sfootwell,behindthekick
panelaccesscover,totheleftofthe
fusebox.Theaccesscoverneedsto
beremovedtoresetthefuelpump
shut-offswitch.
Toresettheswitch:
1.

TurntheignitionOFF.
Checkthefuelsystemforleaks.
Ifnoleaksareapparent,resetthe
switchbypushinginonthereset
button.

TurntheignitionON.
Waitafewsecondsandreturn
thekeytoOFF.

Makeanothercheckforleaks.
FUSES AND RELAYS
Fuses
Ifelectricalcomponentsinthe
vehiclearenotworking,afusemay
haveblown.Blownfusesare
identifiedbyabrokenwirewithin
thefuse.Checktheappropriate
fusesbeforereplacinganyelectrical
components.

Note:Alwaysreplaceafusewithonethathasthespecifiedamperage
rating.Usingafusewithahigheramperageratingcancauseseverewire
damageandcouldstartafire.
