the seatback. This could impair visibility or be-
come a dangerous projectile in a sudden stop or

Becertainthattheseatbackissecurelylockedinto
position. If the seatback in not securely locked
intoposition,theseatwillnotprovidetheproper
stability for child seats and/or passengers. An
improperlylatchedseatcouldcauseseriousinjury.
Thecargoareaintherearofthevehicle(withthe
rear seatbacks in the locked-up or folded down
position) should not be used as a play area by
childrenwhenthevehicleisinmotion.Theycould
be seriously injured in an accident. Children
should be seated and using the proper restraint
system.

Whentheseatbackisfoldedtotheuprightposition,make
sure it is latched by strongly pulling on the top of the
seatbackabovetheseatstrap.
