ate automatically, shifting between the five available
gears. When you wish to engage Autostick , simply
movetheshiftlevertotherightorleft(D+/D-)whilein
theDRIVEposition.Thetransmissionwillremaininthe
currentgearuntilanupshiftordownshiftischosen.
Autostickisadriver-interactivetransmissionthatoffers
manualgearshiftingtoprovideyouwithmorecontrolof
the vehicle. Autostick allows you to maximize engine
braking,eliminateundesirableupshiftsanddownshifts,
and improve overall vehicle performance. This system
canalsoprovideyouwithmorecontrolduringpassing,
citydriving,coldslipperyconditions,mountaindriving,
trailertowing,andmanyothersituations.
ALL-WHEEL DRIVE (AWD) — IF EQUIPPED
This vehicle is equipped with an active on-demandAll
WheelDrive(AWD)systemwhichmakesavailableopti-
mum traction for a wide variety of road surface and
drivingconditions.Thesystemminimizeswheelslipby
automatically redirecting torque to the front and rear
wheelsasnecessary.
Autostickா Operation
ByplacingtheshiftleverintheDRIVEposition,itcanbe
movedfromsidetoside.Thisallowsthedrivertoselect
ahigherorlowerrangeofgears.Movingtheshiftleverto
the left (-) triggers a downshift and to the right (+) an
upshift.Thegearpositionwilldisplayintheinstrument
clusteronthetransmissionrangeindicator.
Tomaximizefueleconomy,yourAWDvehicleautomati-
callydefaultstoRearWheelDrive(RWD)whenroadand
environmental conditions are such that wheel slip is
unlikelytooccur.Whenspecificroadandenvironmental
conditions require increased levels of road traction, the
YoucanshiftinoroutoftheAutostickmodeatanytime
