A/C Air Filter

Thefilterislocatedinthefreshairinletunderthehood,
behindaremovablepanelinthecowlonthepassenger
sideofthevehicle,nexttothewindshieldwipers.When
installing a new filter, ensure its proper orientation. To
replace the filter, remove the access door in the cowl
screenbypressingtheretainingclips.Slidethelidonthe
filter adapter forward and down and remove the used
filter. Install the new filter with arrows pointing in the
direction of airflow, which is toward the rear of the
vehicle(textandarrowsonthefilterindicatethis).

The air conditioning system contains refrigerant
under high pressure. To avoid risk of personal
injuryordamagetothesystem,addingrefrigerant
or any repair requiring lines to be disconnected
shouldbedonebyanexperiencedtechnician.
RefrigerantRecoveryandRecycling
R-134a Air Conditioning Refrigerant is a hydrofluoro-
carbon (HFC) that is endorsed by the Environmental
ProtectionAgencyandisanozone-savingproduct.How-
ever,themanufacturerrecommendsthatairconditioning
service be performed by authorized dealers or other
servicefacilitiesusingrecoveryandrecyclingequipment.
Refer to the “Maintenance Schedule” in Section 8 for
propermaintenanceintervals.
Body Lubrication
Locksandallbodypivotpoints,includingsuchitemsas
seattracks,doorhingepivotpointsandrollers,liftgate,
tailgate,slidingdoorsandhoodhinges,shouldbelubri-
cated periodically with a lithium based grease such as

sealers,stopleakproducts,sealconditioners,compressor
oil,andrefrigerants.
