WHAT TO DO IN EMERGENCIES
Wheel Cover or Center Cap  Installation (If
Equipped)
NOTE: Donotattempttoinstallacentercaporwheel
coveronthecompactspare.
1.
Mounttheroadtireontheaxle.Forvehiclesequipped
with wheel covers, perform Steps 2 and 3. For vehicles
equippedwithcentercaps,proceedtoStep4.
2.
Installtwolugnutsonthemountingstuds,whichare
on each side of the stud that is in alignment with the
valvestem.Installthelugnutswiththeconeshapedend
ofthenuttowardthewheel.Lightlytightenthelugnuts.
Toavoidtheriskofforcingthevehicleoffthejack,donot
tightenthelugnutsfullyuntilthevehicleisloweredto
theground.
