NOTE: Evenifthetransmissioncanbereset,werecom-
mendthatyouvisitanauthorizeddealeratyourearliest
possible convenience. Your authorized dealer has diag-
nostic equipment to determine if the problem could
recur.
Thetransmissionismonitoredforabnormalconditions.
If a condition is detected that could cause damage, the
transmission automatically shifts into second gear. The
transmissionremainsinsecondgeardespitetheforward
gear selected. PARK, REVERSE, and NEUTRAL will
continuetooperate.Thisresetfeatureallowsthevehicle
tobedriventoanauthorizeddealerforservicewithout
damagingthetransmission.
If the transmission cannot be reset, authorized dealer
serviceisrequired.

Shifting from DRIVE to PARK or REVERSE should be
doneonlyaftertheacceleratorpedalisreleasedandthe
vehicleisstopped.Besuretokeepyourfootonthebrake
pedalwhenmovingtheshiftleverbetweenthesegears.
Iftheproblemhasbeenmomentary,thetransmissioncan
beresettoregainallforwardgears.

TurnthekeytoLOCK,thenstarttheengine.
ShiftintoDRIVEandresumedriving.
