Youshouldnottrytostartyourvehiclebypushing
ortowing.
Donotconnectthecabletothenegativepostofthe
discharged battery. The resulting electrical spark
couldcausethebatterytoexplode.
•
During cold weather when temperatures are be-
lowthefreezingpoint,electrolyteinadischarged
batterymayfreeze.Donotattemptjump-starting
becausethebatterycouldruptureorexplode.The
battery temperature must be brought above the
freezingpointbeforeattemptingjump-start.
