If the transmission is not operative or  if the
vehicleistobetowedmorethan15miles(24km),
thentheonlyapprovedmethodoftowingiswith
a flatbed truck. Otherwise, damage to the trans-
missionmayresult.
Exceeding these towing limits may cause transmis-
sionfailure.
Vehicles equipped with AWD can be towed with the
transmissioninNEUTRALandtherearwheelsOFFthe
ground(orthereardriveshaftremoved)withnolimita-
tiononspeedordistance.
Do not tow the vehicle from the rear. Damage to
therearsheetmetalandfasciawilloccur.
Do not push or tow this vehicle with another
vehicleasdamagetothebumperfasciaandtrans-
missionmayresult.

CAUTION!
Ifyoumustusetheaccessories(wipers,defrosters,etc.)
whilebeingtowed,thekeymustbeintheONposition,
not the ACC position. Make certain the transmission
remainsinNEUTRAL.
Donotattempttotowthisvehiclefromthefront
withslingtypetowingequipment.Damagetothe
frontfasciawillresult.
