“Check Gascap” message will display in the Electronic
VehicleInformationCenter(EVIC).Ifthisoccurs,tighten
the fuel filler cap properly and press the TRIP ODOM-
ETER button to turn off the message. If the problem
continues, the message will appear the next time the
vehicleisstarted.

A fire may result if gasoline is pumped into a
portablecontainerthatisinsideofavehicle.You
could be burned. Always place gas containers on
thegroundwhilefilling.
Aloose,improperlyinstalled,ordamagedfuelfillercap

System”inSection7.

This is an indication that the gas cap is tightened
properly.TheMILintheinstrumentclustermayturn
on if the gas cap is not secured properly. Make sure
that the gas cap is tightened each time the vehicle is
refueled.
VEHICLE LOADING
The load carrying capacity of your vehicle is shown on
the “Vehicle Certification Label.” This information
should be used for passenger and luggage loading as
indicated.

When the fuel nozzle “clicks” or shuts off, the fuel
tankisfull.
DonotexceedthespecifiedGrossVehicleWeightRating
(GVWR)ortheGrossAxleWeightRating(GAWR).
