shoulderbelt.

Grasptheshoulderportionand
pulldownwarduntiltheentirebelt
ispulledout.

Allowthebelttoretract.Asthebeltretracts,youwillhearaclicking
sound.Thisindicatesthesafetybeltisnowintheautomaticlocking
mode.
Howtodisengagetheautomaticlockingmode
Disconnectthecombinationlap/shoulderbeltandallowittoretract
completelytodisengagetheautomaticlockingmodeandactivatethe
vehiclesensitive(emergency)lockingmode.
WARNING:Afteranyvehiclecollision,thesafetybeltsystemat
allpassengerseatingpositionsmustbecheckedbyanauthorized
dealertoverifythatthe“automaticlockingretractor”featureforchild
seatsisstillfunctioningproperly.Inaddition,allsafetybeltsshouldbe
checkedforproperfunction.
WARNING:BELTANDRETRACTORASSEMBLYMUSTBE
REPLACEDifthesafetybeltassembly“automaticlocking
retractor”featureoranyothersafetybeltfunctionisnotoperating
properlywhencheckedbyanauthorizeddealer.Failuretoreplacethe
beltandretractorassemblycouldincreasetheriskofinjuryin
collisions.
