duringacoldstart,tryadifferentbrandof“Regular”unleadedgasoline.
“Premium”unleadedgasolineisnotrecommendedforvehiclesdesigned
touse“Regular”unleadedgasolinebecauseitmaycausetheseproblems
tobecomemorepronounced.Iftheproblemspersist,seeyour
authorizeddealer.
FFVengines
Ifyouexperiencestarting,roughidleorhesitationdriveabilityproblems
duringacoldstart,tryadifferentbrandofE85fuel.Ifthedriveability
problemscontinue,fillthevehiclewithregularunleadedgasolineand
drivevehiclenormallyuntilgasolineisused.Seeyourauthorizeddealer
iftheproblempersists.
Donotaddaftermarketfueladditiveproductstoyourfueltank.It
shouldnotbenecessarytoaddanyaftermarketproductstoyourfuel
tankifyoucontinuetousehighqualityfueloftherecommendedoctane
rating.Theseproductshavenotbeenapprovedforyourengineand
couldcausedamagetothefuelsystem.Repairstocorrecttheeffectsof
usinganaftermarketproductinyourfuelmaynotbecoveredbyyour
warranty.
Manyoftheworld’sautomakersapprovedtheWorld-WideFuelCharter
thatrecommendsgasolinespecificationstoprovideimproved
performanceandemissioncontrolsystemprotectionforyourvehicle.
GasolinesthatmeettheWorld-WideFuelChartershouldbeusedwhen
available.Askyourfuelsupplieraboutgasolinesthatmeetthe
World-WideFuelCharter.
Cleaner air

fuelsection.
Running out of fuel
Avoidrunningoutoffuelbecausethissituationmayhaveanadverse
effectonpowertraincomponents.

Youmayneedtocycletheignitionfromofftoonseveraltimesafter
refuelingtoallowthefuelsystemtopumpthefuelfromthetankto
theengine.Onrestarting,crankingtimewilltakeafewsecondslonger
thannormal.
