availablefromyourauthorizeddealer.

Forroutinecleaning,useMotorcraft௡DetailWash(ZC-3-A).
Iftarorgreasespotsarepresent,useMotorcraft௡BugandTar
Remover(ZC-42).
WINDOWS AND WIPER BLADES
Thewindshield,rearandsidewindowsandthewiperbladesshouldbe
cleanedregularly.Ifthewipersdonotwipeproperly,substancesonthe
vehicle’sglassorthewiperbladesmaybethecause.Thesemayinclude
hotwaxtreatmentsusedbycommercialcarwashes,waterrepellent
coatings,treesap,orotherorganiccontamination;thesecontaminants
maycausesqueakingorchatternoisefromtheblades,andstreakingand
smearingofthewindshield.Tocleantheseitems,followthesetips:

Thewindshield,rearwindowsandsidewindowsmaybecleanedwith
anon-abrasivecleanersuchasMotorcraft௡Ultra-ClearSprayGlass
Cleaner(ZC-23),availablefromyourauthorizeddealer.

Thewiperbladescanbecleanedwithisopropyl(rubbing)alcoholor
Motorcraft௡PremiumWindshieldWasherConcentrate(ZC-32-A)in
theU.S.,orPremiumQualityWindshieldWasherFluid[CXC-37-(A,B,
D,orF)]inCanada,availablefromyourauthorizeddealer.This
washerfluidcontainsspecialsolutioninadditiontoalcoholwhich
helpstoremovethehotwaxdepositedonthewiperbladeand
windshieldfromautomatedcarwashfacilities.Besuretoreplace
wiperbladeswhentheyappearwornordonotfunctionproperly.

Donotuseabrasives,astheymaycausescratches.
Donotusefuel,kerosene,orpaintthinnertocleananyparts.
Ifyoucannotremovethosestreaksaftercleaningwiththeglasscleaner
orifthewiperschatterandmoveinajerkymotion,cleantheouter
surfaceofthewindshieldandthewiperbladesusingaspongeorsoft
clothwithaneutraldetergentormild-abrasivecleaningsolution.After
cleaning,rinsethewindshieldandwiperbladeswithcleanwater.The
windshieldiscleanifbeadsdonotformwhenyourinsethewindshield
withwater.
Donotusesharpobjects,suchasarazorblade,tocleanthe
insideoftherearwindowortoremovedecals,asitmaycause
damagetotherearwindowdefroster’sheatedgridlines.
