transmissionoperation.Themorevariedthedrivinghabits,speedand
torque,thelongeritmaytaketoadapt,butthemorecompletethe
processwillbe.
Whenthebatteryisdisconnectedoranewbatteryinstalled,the
transmissionmustlearnitsadaptivestrategy.Asaresultofthis,the
transmissionmayshiftfirmly.Thisoperationisconsiderednormaland
willfullyupdatetransmissionoperationtoitsoptimumshiftfeel.
Understandinggearshiftpositions
Holdthebrakepedaldownwhileyoumovethegearshiftlever
fromP(Park)toanotherposition.Ifyoudonotholdthebrake
pedaldown,yourvehiclemaymoveunexpectedlyandinjuresomeone.
P(Park)
Toputyourvehicleingear,starttheengine,depressthebrakepedal,
thenmovegearshiftleveroutofP(Park).
Alwayscometoacompletestop
beforeshiftingintoP(Park).Make
surethegearshiftleverissecurely
latchedinP(Park).Thisposition
locksthetransmissionandprevents
therearwheelsfromturning.
Alwayssettheparkingbrakefullyandmakesurethegearshiftis
latchedinP(Park).TurntheignitiontotheLOCKpositionand
removethekeywheneveryouleaveyourvehicle.
R(Reverse)
WiththegearshiftleverinR
(Reverse),thevehiclewillmove
backward.Alwayscometoa
completestopbeforeshiftinginto
andoutofR(Reverse).
