transmissionmustrelearnitsadaptivestrategy.Asaresultofthis,the
transmissionmayshiftfirmly.Thisoperationisconsiderednormaland
willnotaffectfunctionordurabilityofthetransmission.Overtimethe
adaptivelearningprocesswillfullyupdatetransmissionoperationtoits
optimumshiftfeel.
Ifthebatteryhasbeendisconnectedoranewbatteryhasbeeninstalled,
theclockandthepresetradiostationsmustberesetoncethebatteryis
reconnected.

ENGINE COOLANT
Checking engine coolant
Theconcentrationandlevelofenginecoolantshouldbecheckedatthe
mileageintervalslistedinthescheduledmaintenanceguide.Thecoolant
concentrationshouldbemaintainedat50/50coolantanddistilledwater,
whichequatestoafreezepointof-36°C(-34°F).Coolantconcentration
testingispossiblewithahydrometerorantifreezetester(suchasthe
RotundaBatteryandAntifreezeTester,014–R1060).Thelevelofcoolant
shouldbemaintainedatthe“coldfull”of“coldfillrange”levelinthe
coolantreservoir.Ifthelevelfallsbelow,addcoolantpertheinstructions
intheAddingEngineCoolantsection.
