FUEL PUMP SHUT-OFF SWITCH
FUEL
RESET
Thefuelpumpshut-offswitchisadeviceintendedtostoptheelectric
fuelpumpwhenyourvehiclehasbeeninvolvedinasubstantialjolt.
Afteracollision,iftheenginecranksbutdoesnotstart,thefuelpump
shut-offswitchmayhavebeenactivated.The“FuelReset”indicatorlight
willilluminateintheinstrumentcluster.
Thefuelpumpshut-offswitchis
locatedinthepassenger’sfootwell,
bythekickpanel.
Usethefollowingproceduretoresetthefuelpumpshut-offswitch.

TurntheignitiontotheOFFposition.
Checkthefuelsystemforleaks.
Ifnofuelleakisapparent,resetthefuelpumpshut-offswitchby
pushinginontheresetbutton.
4.
TurntheignitiontotheONposition.Pauseforafewsecondsand
returnthekeytotheOFFposition.
5.
Makeafurthercheckforleaksinthefuelsystem.
