Undersnowyordirtyweatherconditions,yourvehicle’ sclimate
controlsystemshouldbeleftintheOFFpositionwhenthevehicleis
parked.Thisallowstheclimatecontrolsystemtobefreefrom
contaminationofoutsidepollutants.
Ifyourvehiclehasbeenparkedwiththewindowsclosedduringwarm
weatherconditions,theairconditionerwillperformmoreefficientlyin
coolingthevehicleifdrivenfortwoorthreeminuteswiththe
windowsopen.Thiswillforcemostofthehot,staleairoutofthe
vehicle.Oncethevehiclehasbeen“airedout”,operatetheclimate
controlsystemasdesired.

Donotputobjectsunderthefrontseatwhichmayinterferewiththe
airflowtotherearseats(ifequipped).
Removeanysnow,iceorleavesfromtheairintakearea(atthe
bottomofthewindshieldandunderneaththehood).
Donotplaceobjectsoverthedefrosteroutlets.Theseobjectscan
blockairflowandreducevisibilitythroughyourwindshield.Avoid
placingsmallobjectsontopoftheinstrumentpanel.Theseobjects
mayfalldownintothedefrosteroutletsandblockairflow,inaddition
to,damagingtheclimatecontrolsystem.

SelectthepositionthatdistributesairthroughthePanelandFloor.
Setthetemperaturecontroltofullheat.
Setthefanspeedtofullfan.
Directtheouterpanelventstowardsthesidewindows.
Toincreaseairflowtotheouterpanelvents,closethecentralpanel
vents.
Donotplaceobjectsontopoftheinstrumentpanelasthese
objectsmaybecomeprojectilesinacollisionorsuddenstop.
