(Panelandfloor)–Distributesoutsideairthroughthe
instrumentpanelregistersandthefloorducts.Heatingandair
conditioningcapabilitiesareprovidedinthismode.Foradded
customercomfort,whenthetemperaturecontrolknobisanywherein
betweenthefullhotandfullcoldpositions,theairdistributedthrough
thefloorductswillbeslightlywarmerthantheairsenttothe
instrumentpanelregisters.

(Floor)–Distributesoutsideairthroughthefloorducts.
However,theairwillnotbecooledbelowtheoutsidetemperature
becausetheairconditioningdoesnotoperateinthismode.
(Flooranddefrost)–Distributesoutsideairthroughthe
windshielddefrosterductsandthefloorducts.Heatingandair
conditioningcapabilitiesareprovidedinthismode.Foradded
customercomfort,theairdistributedthroughthefloorductswillbe
slightlywarmerthantheairsenttothewindshielddefrosterducts.If
thetemperatureisabout6°C(43°F)orhigher,theairconditionerwill
automaticallydehumidifytheairtoreducefogging.

(Defrost)–Distributesoutsideairthroughthewindshield
defrosterducts.Itcanbeusedtocleariceorfogfromthewindshield.

willautomaticallydehumidifytheairtoreducefogging.

Inhumidweatherconditions,placetheclimatecontrolsystemin
Defrostmodebeforedriving.Thiswillreducefoggingonyour
windshield.Oncethewindshieldhasbeencleared,operatetheclimate
controlsystemasdesired.

conditions,don’tdrivewiththeclimatecontrolsystemintheOFFor
MAXA/Cposition.
Toreducehumiditybuildupinsidethevehicleinwarmweather
conditions,don’tdrivewiththeclimatecontrolsystemintheOFF
position.
Undernormalweatherconditions,yourvehicle’sclimatecontrol
systemshouldbeleftinanypositionotherthantheMAXA/CorOFF
whenthevehicleisparked.Thisallowsthevehicleto“breathe”
throughtheoutsideairinletduct.
