(POWERWINDOW RESETPROCEDURE)
Ifthebatterywasdisconnected duringvehicle
maintenance, orforotherreasonssuchasa
switchcontinues tobeoperatedafterthe
windowisfullyopen/close, thepowerwindows
willnotfullyopenandcloseautomatically.
Resetting oftheautomatic functioncanbe
performed usingthedriver'smastercontrol
switchorthefrontpassengerdoorswitch.
Thepowerwindowautofunctionreset
procedurecanbedoneononeorbothdoor
switches.Thepowerwindowautofunctionwill
onlyresumeonthesidethathasbeenreset.
Makesurenothingblocksthewindow
justbeforeitreachesthefullyclosed
positionorwhilefullyholdingupthe
powerwindowswitch:
Blockingthepowerwindowjust
beforeitreachesthefullyclosed
positionorwhilefullyholdingupthe
powerwindowswitchisdangerous.
Inthiscase,thejam-safefunction
cannotpreventthewindowfrom
closingalltheway.Iffingersare
caught,seriousinjuriescouldoccur.

SwitchtheignitionON.
NOTE
Depending ondrivingconditions, aclosing

Makesurethatthepowerwindowlock
switchlocatedonthedriver'sdoorisnot
depressed.

Presstheswitchandfullyopenthepower
window.
Intheeventthejam-safefunctionactivates
andthepowerwindowcannotbeclosed
automatically, pullandholdtheswitchfully
andthewindowwillclose.
Thejam-safewindowfunctiondoesnot
operateuntilthesystemisre-initialized.
Pulluptheswitchtofullyclosethepower
windowandcontinueholdingtheswitchfor
about2secondsafterthewindowfully
closes.

RepeatSteps3-4forthepassenger power
window.
Thepowerwindowcanbeoperatedfor
about40secondsaftertheignitionis
switchedfromONtoACCoroffwithall
doorsclosed.Ifeitherfrontdooris
opened,thepowerwindowwillbe
inoperable.
Makesurethatthepowerwindowsoperate
correctlyusingthedoorswitches.
Jam-safewindow
Ifaperson'shands,headoranobject
blocksthewindowduringthemanual
closingoperationortheauto-closing
operation,thewindowwillstopandopen
halfway.
NOTE
Forengine-off operation ofthepowerwindow,
theswitchmustbeheldupfirmlythroughout
windowclosurebecausetheauto-closing
functionwillbeinoperable.
