Performtirepressureadjustment whenthe

tiresarecold.Tirepressurewillvary
accordingtothetiretemperature, therefore
letthevehiclestandfor1houroronlydrive
it1.6km(1mile)orlessbeforeadjusting
thetirepressures.Whenpressureis
adjustedonhottirestothecoldinflation
pressure,theTPMSwarninglight/beep may
turnonafterthetirescoolandpressure
dropsbelowspecification.
CAUTION
Whenreplacing/repairingthetiresor
wheelsorboth,havetheworkdone
byanAuthorizedMazdaDealer,or
thetirepressuresensorsmaybe
damaged.
Also,anilluminated TPMSwarninglight,
resultingfromthetireairpressuredropping
duetocoldambienttemperature, mayturn
offiftheambienttemperature rises.Inthis
case,itwillalsobenecessary toadjustthe
tireairpressures.IftheTPMSwarning
lightilluminates duetoadropintireair
pressure,makesuretocheckandadjustthe
tireairpressures.
Afteradjusting thetireairpressures,itmay
requiresometimefortheTPMSwarning
lighttoturnoff.IftheTPMSwarninglight
remainsilluminated, drivethevehicleata
speedofatleast25km/h(16mph)for10
minutes,andthenverifythatitturnsoff.
Tireslooseairnaturallyovertimeandthe
TPMScannottellifthetiresaregettingtoo
softovertimeoryouhaveaflat.However,
whenyoufindonelowtireinasetoffour-
thatisanindication oftrouble;youshould
havesomeonedrivethevehicleslowly
forwardsoyoucaninspectanylowtirefor
cutsandanymetalobjectsstickingthrough
treadorsidewall.Putafewdropsofwater
inthevalvestemtoseeifitbubbles

indicating abadvalve.Leaksneedtobe
addressedbymorethansimplyrefillingthe
troubletireasleaksaredangerous-takeit
toanAuthorized MazdaDealerwhichhas
alltheequipment tofixtires,TPMSsystems
andorderthebestreplacement tireforyour
vehicle.
