Thesystemcanbepersonalized   sothatthe

Thiswarninglightilluminatesforafew
secondswhentheignitionisswitched
ON.
IftheBSMsystemdetectsavehicleinthe
detectionareawhilethevehicleisdriven
ataspeedofabout32km/h(20mph)or
more,theBSMwarninglightilluminates
onthesideofthevehiclewheretherear
on-comingvehicleisdetected.
Thisindicatorlightilluminatesforafew
secondswhentheignitionisswitched
ON.
TheBSMOFFindicatorlightilluminates
whentheBSMsystemisturnedoffby
pressingtheBSMOFFswitch.
TheindicatorlightflashesiftheBSM
systemhasamalfunction.Consultan
AuthorizedMazdaDealer.
NOTE
Ificeorsnowadheretotheoutermirror

surface,theBSMwarninglightmaynotbe
visible.
Ifthedoorwindowglassistinted,itmay
affectthevisibilityoftheBSMwarning
light,makingitdifficulttoconfirmthe
illumination ofthelight.
NOTE
Ifthevehicleisdrivenonaroadwithless
trafficandfewvehiclesthattheradarsensors
candetect,thesystemmaypause(TheBSM
OFFindicator lightintheinstrument  panel
flashes).However,itdoesnotindicatea
malfunction.
