PresstheDSCOFFswitchtoturnoffthe
TCS/DSC.TheDSCOFFindicatorlight
willilluminate.
Thisindicatorlightstaysonforafew
secondswhentheignitionisswitched
ON.
ItalsoilluminateswhentheDSCOFF
switchispressedandTCS/DSCis
switchedoff(page5-26).
IfthelightstaysonwhentheTCS/DSCis
notswitchedoff,takeyourvehicletoan
AuthorizedMazdaDealer.Thedynamic
stabilitycontrolmayhaveamalfunction.
PresstheswitchagaintoturntheTCS/
DSCbackon.TheDSCOFFindicator
lightwillgoout.
NOTE
NOTE
Ifthebatteryisdisconnected   orafuseis
replaced,theDSCwillbeinoperable.   Inthis
case,theDSCOFFindicatorlightflashesand
theTCS/DSC indicatorlightilluminates.
TomaketheDSCoperable,  dothefollowing
procedurewiththebatteryconnected.
WhenDSCisonandyouattempttofreethe
l
vehiclewhenitisstuck,ordriveitoutof
freshlyfallensnow,theTCS(partofthe
DSCsystem)willactivate.  Depressingthe
accelerator willnotincreaseenginepower
andfreeingthevehiclemaybedifficult.
Whenthishappens,  turnofftheTCS/DSC.

SwitchtheignitionON.
IftheTCS/DSC isoffwhentheengineis

Turnthesteeringclockwise  fully,thenturn
itcounterclockwise fully.
turnedoff,itautomatically  activateswhen
theignitionisswitchedon.
LeavingtheTCS/DSC  onwillprovidethe
l
beststability.

MakesuretheDSCOFFindicator   andthe
TCS/DSC indicatorgooff.
IftheTCS/DSC indicator lightandtheDSC
OFFindicator lightremainilluminated  even
afterswitching theignitionON,consultan
Authorized MazdaDealer.
