you'redriving,theABScontrolunithas
detectedasystemmalfunction.Ifthis
occurs,yourbrakeswillfunctionnormally
asifthevehiclehadnoABS.
WARNING
DonotrelyonABSasasubstitutefor
safedriving:
TheABScannotcompensatefor
unsafeandrecklessdriving,excessive
speed,tailgating(followinganother
vehicletooclosely),drivingoniceand
snow,andhydroplaning(reducedtire
frictionandroadcontactbecauseof
waterontheroadsurface).Youcan
stillhaveanaccident.
Shouldthishappen,consultanAuthorized
MazdaDealerassoonaspossible.
NOTE
Whentheengineisjump-started tochargethe
battery,unevenrpmoccursandtheABS
warninglightmayilluminate. Ifthisoccurs,it
istheresultoftheweakbatteryanddoesnot
indicateanABSmalfunction.
NOTE
Brakingdistances maybelongeronloose
Rechargethebattery.

systemwarninglightandtheABS
warninglightonsimultaneously.The
problemislikelytobetheelectronic
brakeforcedistributionsystem.
