Release the front exhaust pipe bracket from
the cylinder block.
Disconnect the front exhaust pipe from the
forward silencer pipe.
Release the heater rail from t he exhaust
manifold studs.
EXHAUST AND INLET MANIFOLDS

Remove and refit

Disconnect the boost pressure pipe from the
turbo charger.
Note: to remove the inlet manifold, the exhaust
mainifold must be removed first.
11. Disconnect the turbo charger oil drain pipe
from the cylinder block.

Disconnect the battery.
12. Remove the exhaust
withdraw the manifold complete with the
turbo charger.

Remove t he air cleaner to turbo charger inlet
hose from the turbo charger.
Disconnect hose from turbo charger t o
intercooler.
Remove t he turbo charger heat shield.
Disconnect from the turbo charger, the oil
feed pipe.

Disconnect the front exhaust pipe from the
turbo charger elbow.

Disconnect hose from inlet manifold
Remove the two bolts and two nuts and
withdraw the inlet manifold.

Remove the common gasket.
