Allsafetyrestraintsinthevehiclearecombinationlapandshoulder
belts.Allofthepassengercombinationlapandshoulderbeltshavetwo
typesoflockingmodesdescribedbelow:
Vehicle sensitive mode
Thisisthenormalretractormode,whichallowsfreeshoulderbeltlength
adjustmenttoyourmovementsandlockinginresponsetovehicle
movement.Forexample,ifthedriverbrakessuddenlyorturnsacorner
sharply,orthevehiclereceivesanimpactofapproximately5mph(8
km/h)ormore,thecombinationsafetybeltswilllocktohelpreduce
forwardmovementofthedriverandpassengers.
Automatic locking mode
Whentousetheautomaticlockingmode
Inthismode,theshoulderbeltisautomaticallypre-locked.Thebeltwill
stillretracttoremoveanyslackintheshoulderbelt.Theautomatic
lockingmodeisnotavailableonthedriversafetybelt.
Thismodeshouldbeusedanytimeachildsafetyseatisinstalledina
passengerfrontoroutboardrearseatingposition(ifequipped).Children
