TwosidecrashsensorsmountedatthebaseoftheB-pillar(oneon
eachsideofthevehicle).
Twosidecrashsensorslocatedatthec-pillarbehindthereardoors
(oneoneachsideofthevehicle).
Rolloversensorintherestraintscontrolmodule(RCM).
TheSafetyCanopysystem,incombinationwithsafetybelts,canhelp
reducetheriskofsevereinjuriesintheeventofasignificantsideimpact
collisionorrolloverevent.
Children12yearsoldandundershouldalwaysbeproperlyrestrainedin
thesecondorthirdrowseats(ifequipped).TheSafetyCanopywill
notinterferewithchildrenrestrainedusingaproperlyinstalledchildor
boosterseatbecauseitisdesignedtoinflatedownwardfromthe
headlinerabovethedoorsalongthesidewindowopenings.
TheSafetyCanopysystemisdesignedtoactivatewhenthevehicle
sustainslateraldecelerationsufficienttocausethesidecrashsensorto
closeanelectricalcircuitthatinitiatesSafetyCanopyinflationorwhen
acertainlikelihoodofarollovereventisdetectedbytherolloversensor.
