Insertatool(orscrewdriver)intotheaccessholetooverridethe
brake-shiftinterlock.ApplythebrakeandshiftintoNeutral.

Returnthecoverplugtotheaccesshole.Startthevehicle.
Ifitisnecessarytousetheaboveproceduretomovethegearshiftlever,
itispossiblethatafusehasblownorthevehicle’sbrakelampsarenot
operatingproperly.RefertoFusesandrelaysintheRoadside
Emergencieschapter.
Donotdriveyourvehicleuntilyouverifythatthebrakelamps
areworking.
Alwayssettheparkingbrakefullyandmakesurethegearshiftis
latchedinP(Park).TurntheignitiontotheLOCKpositionand
removethekeywheneveryouleaveyourvehicle.
Iftheparkingbrakeisfullyreleased,butthebrakewarninglamp
remainsilluminated,thebrakesmaynotbeworkingproperly.
