BoardDiagnosticsSystem(OBD-II).ThisOBD-IIsystemprotectsthe
environmentbyensuringthatyourvehiclecontinuestomeet
governmentemissionstandards.TheOBD-IIsystemalsoassiststhe
servicetechnicianinproperlyservicingyourvehicle.WhentheCheck
engine/Serviceenginesoonlightilluminates,theOBD-IIsystemhas
detectedamalfunction.TemporarymalfunctionsmaycauseyourCheck
engine/Serviceenginesoonlighttoilluminate.Examplesare:

Thevehiclehasrunoutoffuel.(Theenginemaymisfireorrun
