WINDOWS AND WIPER BLADES
Thewindshield,rearandsidewindowsandthewiperbladesshouldbe
cleanedregularly.Ifthewipersdonotwipeproperly,substancesonthe
vehicle’sglassorthewiperbladesmaybethecause.Thesemayinclude
hotwaxtreatmentsusedbycommercialcarwashes,treesap,orother
organiccontamination.Tocleantheseitems,pleasefollowthesetips:

Thewindshield,rearwindowsandsidewindowsmaybecleanedwith
anon-abrasivecleanersuchasMotorcraftUltra-ClearSprayGlass
Cleaner(ZC-23),availablefromyourdealer.

Donotuseabrasives,astheymaycausescratches.
Donotusefuel,kerosene,orpaintthinnertocleananyparts.
Wiperbladescanbecleanedwithisopropyl(rubbing)alcoholor
windshieldwashersolution.Besuretoreplacewiperbladeswhenthey
appearwornordonotfunctionproperly.
Donotusesharpobjects,suchasarazorblade,tocleanthe
insideoftherearwindowortoremovedecals,asitmaycause
damagetotherearwindowdefroster’sheatedgridlines.
INSTRUMENT PANEL AND CLUSTER LENS
Cleantheinstrumentpanelwithadampcloth,thenwithaclean,dry
cloth,oruseMotorcraftDash&VinylCleaner(ZC-38-A).

Avoidcleanersorpolishthatincreasetheglossoftheupperportionof
theinstrumentpanel.Thedullfinishinthisareahelpsprotectthe
driverfromundesirablewindshieldreflection.
Donotusechemicalsolventsorstrongdetergentswhencleaning
thesteeringwheelorinstrumentpaneltoavoidcontaminationof
theairbagsystem.

Becertaintowashorwipeyourhandscleanifyouhavebeenin
contactwithcertainproductssuchasinsectrepellentandsuntan
lotioninordertoavoidpossibledamagetotheinteriorpainted
surfaces.

Cleantheinteriortrimareaswithadampcloth,thenwithaclean,dry
cloth.
