The indicator light in the Universal Transceiver will
ProgrammingA“RollingCode”System
begin to flash, first slowly and then rapidly. The rapid
flashing indicates successful programming. If after 90
secondstheindicatorlightdoesnotflashrapidlyorgoes
out,returntostep1andrepeattheprocedure.Totrainthe
otherbuttons,repeatsteps3and4.Besuretokeepyour
hand held transmitters in case you need to retrain the
UniversalTransceiver.
Ongaragedooropenerswiththe“RollingCode”feature,
thetransmittercodechangesaftereachusetopreventthe
copyingofyourcode.
NOTE: Theassistanceofasecondpersonmaymakethe 3
followingprogrammingprocedurequickerandeasier.
1. Locate the training button on the garage door motor
headunit.Theexactlocationandcolorofthebuttonmay
vary by garage door opener manufacturer. If you have
difficulty in locating the training button, check your
garagedooropenermanual,orcall1-800-355-3515or,on
theInternet,atwww.homelink.com.
NOTE: ToprogramtheremainingtwoHomeLinkbut-
tons,beginwithЉProgrammingЉStepTwo.Donotrepeat
StepOne.
NOTE: If your garage door opener fails to respond to
theprogrammedHomeLinkUniversalTransceiver,and
your garage door opener is manufactured after 1995, it
may have a multiple security code system (rolling code
system).Ifyourgaragedooropeneristhe“rollingcode”
type, please proceed to the heading “Programming A
RollingCodeSystem.”

Pressandholdthetrainingbuttononthegaragedoor
openerheadunit.Thiswillactivatethe“training”light.
NOTE: Aftercompletingstep2,youhave30secondsto
startstep3.

ReturntotheUniversalTransceiverinthevehicleand
firmly press and release the garage door button. Press
and release the button a second time to complete the
