The covered ash receiver is located in the instrument
panelbelowtheclimatecontrolknobs.

Thecigarlighterislocatedtotherightoftheashreceiver.

Many accessories that can be plugged in draw
power from the vehicle’s battery, even when not
in use (i.e. cellular phones, etc.). Eventually, if
pluggedinlongenough,thevehicle’sbatterywill
discharge sufficiently to degrade battery life
and/orpreventenginestarting.
As a child safety precaution, the lighter only operates
withtheignitionswitchON.Itheatswhenpushedinand
popsoutautomaticallywhenreadyforuse.Topreserve
the heating element, do not hold the lighter in the
heatingposition.

Accessories that draw higher power (i.e. coolers,
vacuum cleaners, lights, etc.) will degrade the
battery even more quickly. Only use these inter-
mittentlyandwithgreatercaution.
Shouldyourvehiclenotcomeequippedwiththeinstru-
mentpanelcigarlighterandashreceiver,anoptionalash
receiverisavailablefromyourauthorizeddealerandwill
fitineitheroneofthecenterconsolecupholders.
After the use of high power draw accessories, or
longperiodsofthevehiclenotbeingstarted(with
accessories still plugged in), the vehicle must be
driven a sufficient length of time to allow the
generatortorechargethevehicle’sbattery.
